The students will be given instruction on personal safety. They will be taught about the Block Parent Program,

After 20 minutes of classroom instruction, the class will be taken on a walking tour of the Village and receive instruction on pedestrian safety.

The children are invited to listen to an exciting adventure story about fire safety. After which they will learn the importance of knowing that firefighters are our friends, and will be shown the different fire gear worn, and how important the bunker gear is to protect them.

In Sparky's bedroom they will learn and practice what to do if their clothes catch fire. The class is invited to play the Smoke Detector game where they will learn and practice crawling low under smoke.
